Hard Back Seat Butterfly Valve: The valve seat is wrapped in rubber in a hard support ring, making the structure more stable and wear-resistant. The disadvantage is that the seat ring is usually not removable and replaceable (non-resilient replaceable seat), but the reliability is higher.
Lug Style Butterfly Valve: There are independent lugs on both sides of the valve body, which are respectively fixed to the pipe flange with bolts, suitable for pipeline disassembly on one side (such as end isolation). Commonly used in dead-end services, fire piping networks, process piping, etc.
Pin (pin connection) Butterfly Valve: The valve disc and valve stem are connected by pins to transmit torque. The structure is simple and the assembly is reliable. Particularly common in hard-backed seat configurations, as this design has less need for a removable seat.
Worm Gear Butterfly Valve: Butterfly valves larger than DN300 are generally equipped with gearboxes and handwheels. The worm gear reduction mechanism reduces the operating torque, making it easier to open and close large butterfly valves. Especially in high-pressure systems, it is better than small valves operated by direct handles.
